Connected but Alone

Sherry Turckle's speech is all about how even though we stay connected we are still disconnected from eachother. Although this theory contradicts it self I completely agree. I believe through the internet and technology we are connected and brought together but at the same time while we are in person, it pulls apart. There have many times that I will be with a group of friends but instead of talking to eachother and socializing we are all on our phones texting, checking Facebook and so on. Many people, me included, use our phones to avoid confrontation with someone in person.
