Staying Connected

The Internet has made it extremely easy to keep in touch with friends and family, while meeting other people. You can share videos, photos or just about anything to hundreds of people at the same time instead of sending to someone personally. As great as all of this is, it has also caused communication to become less personal. Since it is easy to stay connected through these sites and through other technology, it makes relationships slightly less interesting. The Internet can be used for everything, shopping, talking, watching tv, etc. I feel like this has also been a major factor that has made our generation lazier.

  1. I agree that technology has made our generation lazier. However, I do not think that technology makes relationships less interesting. If people do not have as close of a relationship because of technology wouldn't that make relationships more interesting? Wouldn't that make the moment when people eventually meet up face-to-face more exciting? Technology does prevent face-to-face communication but I don't think that it does not completely stop it.

  2. It is good that our generation has come up with all this improved technology but I feel it has made this generation less educated because we are distracted by video games, reality shows and cell phones. It is sad that it has to be this way but because we are surrounded by it everyday of our lives it is hard to stray away from it.
